Amebas de vida livre da espécie Naegleria fowleri são responsáveis pela doença altamente fatal meningoencefalite amebiana primária, portanto, o objetivo desse trabalho é explicar sobre seu comportamento parasitário e suas complicações anátomo-patológicas.

Free-living amebae of the species Naegleria fowleri are responsible for the highly fatal disease primary amoebic meningoencephalitis, therefore, the aim of this paper is to explain about their parasitic behavior and their anatomopathological complications.
